The Billing Overview Dashboard#

Your Dashboard opens on Billing overview — a live read on the last 30 days:

  • Billing health — your collection rate, the percentage of gross billed revenue actually collected. Below 90% warrants investigation, and the headline switches from "Collections are flowing." to "Collections need attention."
  • Gross billed, Cash collected, Outstanding, and Active subscriptions stat cards.
  • Recovery pulse — active dunning events, resolved events, and how many accounts and invoices are in dunning.
  • Breakdowns of subscriptions, invoices, and transactions by state.
  • A revenue timeseries charting billed revenue against collected cash.

Head to Billing Overview Dashboard for the full tour.

The Core Objects#

Four records do most of the work:

  • Accounts — the customers you bill. Each account carries payment methods, invoices, transactions, subscriptions, and voucher redemptions in one place.
  • Plans — what you sell: pricing, billing cycles, trials, and add-ons.
  • Subscriptions — a plan attached to an account, billing on a schedule. Statuses include Active, In Trial, Paused, Past Due, and Cancelled.
  • Invoices — the bills themselves, moving through Pending, Processing, Past Due, Paid, Failed, or Voided.

Supporting cast: Vouchers for discounts, Dunning Campaigns for recovering failed payments, Email Templates for the messages billing sends, Business Entities for invoicing under multiple legal entities, and Measured Units for usage-based charges.
