Subscriber Growth, Retention, and Accounts

Track how your subscriber base grows and how long people stay — subscriber growth and churn, cohort retention heatmaps, account growth, and the hourly activation pulse.

2 min read

Four reports together tell the story of your customer base: Subscribers (growth and churn), Retention (how long they stay), Accounts (the wider account base), and Hourly (today's pulse).

Subscribers#

"Subscriber growth, churn, and acquisition trends for the selected billing period."

The stat row leads with Active subscribers, Churn rate, and Acquisition rate, plus counts of New, Returning, and Churned subscribers in the period.

The Subscriber growth chart plots New, Returning, and Churned against the Total active line, and the Subscriber growth summary table breaks the same numbers down per period — including the Net column that shows whether each period grew or shrank the base.

Retention#

"Cohort-based retention analysis across subscriber signup months."

Every subscriber belongs to a cohort — the month they signed up. This report follows each cohort over time:

  • Overall retention, Cohorts analysed, Avg cohort size, and Best M1 retention stats.
  • The Cohort descent chart — how retention decays month over month.
  • The Cohort heatmap — one row per signup month, one column per month since signup, coloured by the share of the cohort still active.

Read the heatmap diagonally: if newer rows hold their colour longer than older rows, your retention is improving with every product change you ship.

Accounts#

"Account growth and closure trends across the selected billing period."

Subscriptions live on accounts, and this report tracks the account base itself: the Account growth chart (Existing, New, Closed, and Total open) and the Accounts growth summary table with the same per-period breakdown.

Hourly#

"Intraday activation and churn tracking versus yesterday and the prior week."

The fastest feedback loop in the suite: Activated today, Churned today, Net today, and Total active, with Hourly activations and Hourly churn charts comparing today's curve against yesterday and the same day last week.
