MyBusiness App (Pty) Ltd (“MyBusiness App”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile applications, websites (mybusinessapp.co.za, mypetparlorapp.com, mybeautysalonapp.co.za), or related services. It applies to all users globally and is written in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”) of South Africa, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and Google Play's User Data policies. We uphold strict data protection principles: we collect data lawfully, only for defined purposes, and we are transparent about how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information from you in different ways, depending on whether you use our mobile apps, websites, or both. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, racial/ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.
On the Mobile Apps (MyPetParlor App, MyBeautySalon App)
- Account & Profile Information: Name, email address, password (securely hashed), and other relevant details such as address or telephone number, used to manage your account and provide app functionality.
- Payment Details: If you make purchases through the app, your payment data (e.g. card or bank details) is securely passed to our payment processor (Paystack, Payfast) and not stored on our systems.
- Location Data: If you allow location permissions, we may collect precise geolocation data to enable location-based features (e.g. route optimisation for mobile groomers). This is entirely optional and under your control.
- Device & Usage Data: We automatically collect data such as device type, operating system, app version, unique identifiers, and interaction data. This helps us monitor performance, improve features, and resolve technical issues.

3. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Authorised Service Providers: We engage third-party providers (e.g. for analytics, hosting, and payment processing) who process data strictly on our instructions under confidentiality agreements.
- Payment Processing: Payment details are securely handled by third-party processors (e.g. Paystack, Payfast) in accordance with international security standards.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Transactional Partners: Where products or services are supplied through third parties accessed via our platforms, their own privacy policies may apply.
Where data is transferred internationally (e.g. to service providers outside your country), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms under GDPR or other relevant frameworks.
4. Data Security
We use strong security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure storage, access controls, and routine security reviews. Our policies cover physical security, computer and network security, secure communications, retention and disposal, acceptable usage, governance, monitoring, and incident response.
When we contract with third parties, we impose appropriate security, privacy, and confidentiality obligations on them. While no system is completely immune to risk, we are committed to protecting your data to the highest reasonable standard.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or to comply with our legal obligations. Account data is retained while your account is active. Anonymised usage data may be retained for analytical purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We respond to all valid requests within the timeframes required by law.
