Data Deletion Instructions

MyBusiness App (Pty) Ltd (“MyBusiness App”, “we”, “us”) lets you request deletion of the personal data we hold about you across all of our products (MyPetParlor, MyBeautySalon, MyBillingHub, MyMicroFinance, and MyCampaignApp), including any data we received about you through third-party integrations such as the WhatsApp Business Cloud API and Facebook Login.
1. How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your data, send an email to developers@mybusinessapp.co.za with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:
- The email address, phone number, or WhatsApp number associated with your data.
- The product or tenant the data relates to, if known (for example, a MyMicroFinance lender you applied to via WhatsApp).
- Confirmation that you are the data subject or are authorised to act on their behalf.
2. What We Delete
On a confirmed request we delete the personal data we hold about you, including:
- Account profile information (name, email, phone number, authentication identifiers).
- WhatsApp conversations, message bodies, and media attachments exchanged with our tenants through the WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
- Loan applications, bookings, customer records, and any other tenant data tied to your identity.
- Uploaded documents and media stored in our object storage.
3. Timeline
We acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days and complete deletion (including from backups and replicas) within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
4. Retention Exceptions
Some data may be retained after deletion where required:
- Financial and tax records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with South African Revenue Service and other regulatory obligations.
- Audit and security logs may be retained in anonymised or pseudonymised form for fraud prevention and integrity investigations.
- Aggregated, fully anonymised analytics that can no longer be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
